As part of supporting and promoting data quality and standardisation of information for the insurance sector, the Polish Insurance Association organises the 14th edition of a seminar from the series “Data Quality in Information Systems of Insurance Companies”. The seminar is going to take place on 29 October 2013 at the Rondo 1 conference centre, Rondo ONZ 1 in Warsaw.
A significant part of the seminar will be devoted to a draft amendment of the European personal data protection law and to its far-reaching effects for the financial sector. The issue of reconstructing central registers subject to the Ministry of Justice will be further discussed. Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data is going to present selected issues concerning data protection with respect to making insurance data available to authorised institutions. Topics referring to both new technologies and data protection will also be raised.
Selected problems regarding data exchange standardisation and its security will be presented. Traditionally, external information resources and experience from the financial sector which are useful for improving data quality in information systems of insurance companies will also be discussed. The seminar is open for members of the Polish Insurance Association as well as for institutions which have been cooperating with the Association for years. They can participate in the seminar free of charge. Commercial companies may take part in the seminar after paying a fee of PLN 1,500 gross per each participant.
