On 24 November 2015, the Polish Insurance Association in collaboration with KPMG is organising a seminar entitled: “Year-end closing – the impact of regulatory changes on accounting and reporting of insurance companies”, which will be held at the Hotel Mercure Warszawa Centrum. The seminar will focus mainly on financial issues – IFRS 4 Phase 2 and synchronisation with IFRS 9, the impact of IFRS 15 on insurance companies, etc. Other issues to be discussed include the economic balance sheet and reporting for the needs of Solvency II, as well as accounting issues relating to coinsurance with joint and several liability, the valuation of financial instruments concluded on non-market conditions, and deferred tax. The seminar is addressed to employees of insurance companies, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the Ministry of Finance, representatives of trade press and academic centres.
