More than 50 officers participated in specialist workshops organised under the patronage of the Criminal Affairs Bureau of the General Police Headquarters by the PIU Committee for Counteracting Insurance Crime. The workshops that took place on 27 October were the next in a series of meetings. The first pilot course took place on 22 June of this year.
The aim of the courses is to disseminate knowledge about insurance crime to the largest number of officers possible and to increase the effectiveness of the measures being undertaken by the police in connection with the rapid changes taking place with regard to crime.
The program broadens theoretical knowledge of insurance as well as the types, forms and legal classification of insurance crimes, and, above all, the principles and possibilities of cooperation with insurance companies and the tactics for combating insurance crimes. Officers directly involved in combating insurance crimes from selected police units are sent to attend the courses.
The Polish Insurance Association would like to thank everyone involved in running the training program and the General Police Headquarters for making it possible to organise the seminar. Link to the press release published on the website of the Warsaw Police Headquarters:
