Guidelines for contributors, Editorial Policy
1. Insurance Review considers only previously unpublished manuscripts.
2. Contributors should send their manuscripts by email, in an MSWord-compatible format. The maximum accepted volume is 40,000 characters without spaces. For case notes should be no longer than 20,000 characters without spaces. In justified cases, longer manuscripts may be published after consultation with the editorial team. The editorial team reserves the right to make abbreviations and editorial corrections of manuscripts without notice to, or agreement of, the author.
3. All manuscripts submitted by contributors should comply with the following guidelines. If a manuscript includes charts, please attach a separate MSExcel file with appropriate data. The manuscript should be sent with an abstract and the list of keywords, in Polish and English, and have the title translated into English (in accordance with the rules defined in the Preparation of Manuscripts Manual).
4. In order to ensure anonymity of the author, the following information should be sent in a separate file: the author’s full name, address, academic and professional titles, position and place of work (for academics, university affiliation), e-mail address, contact phone numbers.
5. The manuscript should be accompanied by the Declaration of Authorship (completed on the form downloadable below), in which the author confirms that the manuscript is his or her original work and has not been published elsewhere.
Rules of Ethics
1. Insurance Review publishes papers written in compliance with standards of academic integrity. Insurance Review adheres to Core Practices and Guidelines for the publishing process developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
2. Consequently, the Editorial Team will record and publicly disclose all violations of scholarly integrity such as ghostwriting or guest authorship. If a manuscript has more than one author, the co-authors should describe their individual contributions to the work by completing the Declaration of Co-authorship.
3. The above-mentioned rules of conduct apply to all participants in the publication process. These participants are obliged to give notice of any conflict of interest.
4. If the preparation of a manuscript receives external financing, the author must disclose that fact in the paper’s introduction section.
5. If it is revealed that the author(s) has committed an ethical violation, the Editor-in-chief will ask them for an explanation and takes further steps in accordance with COPE Practices and Guidelines.
